About us

NGO "Zelena Istra" ("Green Istria") is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit environmental organization, founded on October the 5, 1995. Green Istria's mission is the protection of the environment, natural resources and social justice.

GOALS:

• protection of the environment and the natural resources;
• encouragement of public participation in the process of decision making related to the protection of the environment;
• informing of the citizens about the issues related to the protection of nature and the environment;
• strengthening of the public’s role in the exercising of their constitutional rights to a healthy environment;
• promotion of sustainable development;
