On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, a seminar titled "Creating Opportunities: Building inclusive business models" was held at the Community Center Rojc. This event, led by Mojca Žganec Metelko, Director of the Slovenian social enterprise KNOF, brought together representatives from NGOs and organizations interested in promoting inclusiveness.
The seminar aimed to highlight the potential for employing people with disabilities (PWD) in social enterprises and civil society organizations. Mojca shared KNOF’s successful strategies for creating inclusive work environments in Slovenia, providing practical guidance and concrete examples to inspire local initiatives.
The interactive format encouraged participants to share ideas, discuss challenges, and explore opportunities for employing PWD in their own contexts. The event was well-received, with participants expressing a renewed commitment to integrating inclusiveness in their projects.
This seminar underscores the critical role of social enterprises in fostering both environmental and social sustainability, emphasizing the potential for collaboration to drive positive change.
