A project partners’ meeting for EcoQuest 2 – Games for Environmental Education was held in Lille, France. During three intensive days, we worked together on defining the next steps of the project, exchanging ideas, and developing approaches that will help bring the project’s activities and results closer to young people and educators.
EcoQuest 2 is a continuation of the Erasmus+ EcoQuest project and focuses on developing innovative approaches to learning about climate change and environmental protection. By incorporating elements of gaming, experiential learning, and active participation, the project aims to make environmental topics more accessible, engaging, and relevant to young people.
As part of the project, the partners are jointly developing:
- an educational video game focused on learning about the environment and climate change
- a LARP (Live Action Role-Playing) game that will enable young people to learn through experience, interaction, and taking on different roles
- two guides and additional educational materials focused on developing green competences and supporting educators in their work
A particular focus of the project is on young people aged 16 to 25, with the aim of empowering them to actively participate and take action in the field of environmental protection. At the same time, the project will provide educators, teachers, and trainers with new, practical, and innovative tools that they can use in their educational work.
The meeting in Lille was an important opportunity for the partners to further align their activities, exchange expertise and experiences, and jointly explore how to make the materials being developed as relevant, high-quality, and useful as possible for their future users.
We would like to thank all our partners for their constructive cooperation, valuable exchange of ideas, and contributions, which will help shape the next stages of the project. ☺️
