Zelena Istra invites you to join Croatian Sustainable Fashion Week and participate in the swap event "TiDam – TiDaš"! The swap will take place on Tuesday, November 22nd, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Radiona Re-Geppetto in Rojc.
Do you have extra clothes you no longer wear? Are you environmentally conscious and love socializing and good music? Do you have a shortage of kuna, lipa, and euros in your wallet? Then this is the right event for you!
What is a Swap Party?
It’s an event similar to a flea market, but the difference is that clothes are not sold but exchanged, and there is no charge! What we no longer wear and don’t need might be perfect for someone else, and vice versa. The clothing exchange is not direct – we leave the items we are donating, receive vouchers in return, and then choose items we need from the entire selection. A key feature of the exchange fair is great socializing with music!
How to Participate?
There is no limit to the number of participants, but for logistical preparation, it’s recommended to register via email at: ured@zelena-istra.hr.
Rules for Participating in the Fair:
When you arrive, leave the clothes you want to donate at the info point (no more than 10 pieces). You will receive a VOUCHER for each item. Vouchers can be exchanged for desired items from the selection. In the last hour, exchanges will be possible without vouchers—until supplies last.
Clothing and fashion accessories are accepted; all "cool" and "quirky" clothing pieces are welcome. It is important that everything is in good condition, clean, and without stains.
During the exchange fair, it will be possible to shorten, mend, or alter clothing on the sewing machine in Radiona Re-Geppetto.
TiDam – TiDaš swap in Pula is one of a series of events as part of “Croatian Sustainable Fashion Week,” which will take place in various cities, from Split to Zagreb, during the week of November 21st to 27th. The reason behind organizing this anti-consumerist fashion week is the problem of excessive textile consumption and the frenzy of shopping during so-called “Black Friday,” which this event aims to rebrand as “Green Friday.”
“Croatian Sustainable Fashion Week” aims to promote the concept of sustainable and circular fashion and actively oppose consumerism and the massive amount of waste resulting from such practices. The goal this week is to empower citizens to develop a more sustainable relationship with fashion and reduce the generation of textile waste.
The main activity of “Croatian Sustainable Fashion Week” is swap events, which will take place at various locations in Zagreb, Karlovac, Pula, and Split. In addition to Zelena Istra, other organizations participating in the week include Zelena akcija, Vestigium, Udruga za nezavisnu medijsku kulturu, Udruga Krugovi, Sunce - Split, and Udruga Eko Pan as part of the European Week for Waste Reduction.
This activity was organized as part of the "Communities Go Circular" project.
