The atmosphere at yesterday's holiday decorations workshop that took place at the Repair cafe Re-Geppetto was very creative and festive. Used paper bags, old newspapers, twigs and dried fruit were transformed into perfect Christmas decorations under the guidance of the Pula creative Iva Kreativa. Before the practical workshop, there was a short presentation about all the ways we can make the holiday season more zero waste and eco-friendly.

Holidays are a time when we buy and spend even more and create large amounts of unnecessary waste: from Christmas decorations and unnecessary gifts to shiny wrapping paper. The participants of yesterday's workshop learned how to make their holidays more environment friendly without making them any less joyful or beautiful. They became more confident about deciding on what kind of Christmas tree to choose, how to gift and wrap greener presents, serve more environment friendly food and create beautiful decorations from dicarded materials or natural objects.

This workshop was organized as part of the "Communities go circular" project, which is financed by EU funds,  in the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values program (CERV).
