Zelena Istra organized an educational and practical workshop on mastering basic household repairs skills at the Repair cafe Re-Geppetto. The goal of this education is to empower women and men in basic repair skills. By repairing and properly maintaining the device or another item, we extend the life of the product and reduce the generation of bulky and electronic waste.

The participants of the workshop, with the help of the Re-Geppetto manager Marko, who is full of knowledge, practical advice and interesting tricks, learned a lot of new things. They learned how to carry out home repairs in a safe way, how to use basic tools, what to do if there is a short circuit or if there is a water leak somewhere, how to clean the siphon, choose the right drill bit and insert it into the drill, how to drill a hole in the wall... The interest in learning about home repairs is really great, and we will soon organize the advanced verion of the workshop - for those who want to know more.

This workshop was organized as part of the "Communities Go Circular" project, which is financed by EU funds,  in the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values program (CERV).
