Climate Bridges – Network in Action is a regional project that promotes stronger cooperation between civil society organizations, public institutions, and the private sector to advance climate action in Southeastern Europe. The project is implemented in five countries – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Croatia – with support from the European Climate Initiative (EUKI).
It responds to shared challenges in the region, such as limited coordination among stakeholders, uneven implementation of climate policies, and low levels of public engagement. Through a range of activities – including the development of Local Green Agendas, public campaigns, the Southeastern Europe Climate Champion competition, and the creation of a Best Practices Toolbox – the project supports local and regional climate transition and capacity building.
The goal is to build a strong, inclusive, and lasting network that can effectively influence climate policy and practice across the region.
