"Participatory Budgeting: Citizens' Subnational Budget Watch" was an EU-funded project with a 200,000 EUR budget whose aim was to develop and introduce innovative e-tools to improve transparency and citizens' participation in the allocation of budget funds in three Croatian cities: Pula, Karlovac and Mali Lošinj. A vast new space for citizen participation was opened and budget transparency was enhanced by using innovative e-tools: "PROračun" (for budget visualisation) and "Your Priorities" (for citizen participation), which was translated to Croatian language and is now freely available for use by NGOs and local authorities.
